Is white discharge always abnormal?
No. A small amount of clear or white discharge without a strong odour can be normal. Changes in smell, colour, consistency or associated itching and irritation may need evaluation.
Why do infections keep returning?
Recurrent symptoms can have several causes, including incomplete treatment, reinfection, an untreated partner where relevant or uncontrolled blood sugar. These factors can be assessed during your evaluation.
Can these infections affect fertility?
Some untreated reproductive tract infections can cause complications that may affect fertility. Early evaluation and appropriate treatment can help reduce the risk of complications.
